Construction project management under VOB/B
Quanto Management knows the periods, notices and payment steps of VOB/B 2016, counts in Werktage and writes your correspondence in German, so no entitlement is lost on a date.
Every VOB/B period in view
Choose VOB/B 2016 as the form of contract when you set up the project. Quanto loads the periods of the VOB/B pack and counts them on the project calendar. Each period shows its section, who must act by when, and what happens if nothing happens.
| Delay notice (Behinderungsanzeige) | Without delay (§ 6 Abs. 1). Otherwise the entitlement is at risk. |
|---|---|
| Additional work | Announce the claim for additional payment before the work starts (§ 2 Abs. 6). |
| Final payment | Within 30 days (§ 16 Abs. 3). After that, default interest. |

Where your Particular Conditions differ, change the period for that project. Other editions and bespoke contracts start from editable values.

Werktage counted correctly
VOB/B counts in Werktage (working days including Saturdays). Quanto counts them without Sundays and without Germany's nationwide public holidays, plus any holidays you set for the project. Calendar days, working days and weeks are supported as well.

Delays and variations
- Site events such as delays, weather, instructions and missing preceding work are recorded with date, hours lost and photos.
- Quanto creates the Behinderungsanzeige under § 6 Abs. 1 as a German letter on your letterhead. Free sample letter →
- Variations (Nachträge) are priced by item, submitted by the contractor, reviewed by the site supervision and approved by the owner, every step dated and named.
- The revised contract sum is always the original sum plus approved variations.
Payment by measurement
- Progress is entered per BOQ line (LV-Position); the interim payment application (Abschlagsrechnung) builds itself from it.
- The site supervision checks line by line and gives a reason for every deduction.
- Retention, advance payment recovery and materials on site are worked out in every certificate.
- Interim, advance, retention release and final payment certificates as print-ready documents.

Correspondence in German
- Letterhead, your own reference numbering, Unser Zeichen and Ihr Zeichen, subject, enclosures and copy list.
- A letter stays in the language it was signed in; dates and numbers in German format (DD.MM.YYYY, 1.234,56).
- Parties on Quanto receive letters in their inbox, with read receipt, reply-by date and thread.
- Bautagebuch, inspection requests, non-conformance reports and minutes of meetings in German too.
For every party, in German, English and Arabic
The owner, the site supervision and subcontractors join the project free. Each person works in their own language on the same records. By default, data is kept on our secure cloud in the EU.
General information only. Periods and procedures depend on your contract and its Particular Conditions; your contract always prevails.
